The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during TCM removal/installation are shown below.

NECESSARY PROCEDURE AFTER PARTS REMOVED/INSTALLED/REPLACED

Replacement of TCM
(If transaxle compensation code read from TCM)
  • Transfer transaxle compensation code
  • Perform reset memory*
  • Deceleration sensor zero point calibration
  • CVT oil pressure calibration
  • Perform road test to allow TCM to learn
  • Large shift shock
  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency

Refer to REGISTRATION [06/2018 - 09/2024] for Registration
Replacement of TCM
(If transaxle compensation code not read from TCM)
  • Reset transaxle compensation code
  • Perform reset memory*
  • Deceleration sensor zero point calibration
  • CVT oil pressure calibration
  • Perform road test to allow TCM to learn

*: Not necessary when TCM replaced with new one.

NOTE:
  • After the engine switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 85 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. (for Audio and Visual System)
