Removal [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2022 - ]
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [09/2022 - 11/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [11/2022 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [03/2023 - 09/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21 [09/2024 - ]
- REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY (WATER INLET HOUSING)
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.NOTE:
- Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose.
- Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
HINT:
When disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose, slide the clip, rotate the hose and pull it straight off the pipe.
- Disconnect the sensor wire connector.
- Disconnect the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) connector.
- Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and disconnect the sensor wire from the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).
- Remove the 4 bolts and engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) from the cylinder block assembly.
- Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
- Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
- Remove the gasket from the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).
- Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
