Removal [03/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

  1. SECURE VEHICLE 
    1. Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
      WARNING:
      • Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.

      • If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to neutral, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.
  2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [01/2019 - 09/2022]

  3. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made) 
    1. Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

      *b Transmission Control Shift Cable
    2. Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly.
    3. Rotate the lock nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the lock nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

      *a Counterclockwise
      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.

    4. Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly in the same manner as the transmission control select cable.
  4. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (except TMC Made) 
    1. Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

    2. Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly.
    3. Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control select cable.
      NOTE:

      Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

    4. Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not rotate the nut excessively as the internal spring may jump out and the transmission control cable will not be reusable.
      • Do not forcibly pull the transmission control cable assembly into the cabin.
    5. Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly in the same manner as the transmission control select cable.
  5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disengage the 4 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the floor shift lever assembly.

  6. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and floor shift lever assembly from the vehicle body.
