Removal [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Fully Sealed Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Non-Fully Sealed Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - 11/2022]

  5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    3. Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.
    4. Disconnect the 5 connectors.

    5. Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
    6. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.

    7. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    8. Disengage the wire harness clamp and disconnect the engine wire.
  6. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

      *1 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket from the EGR cooler assembly.

    3. Type A:
      1. Remove the 2 bolts and 3 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.

        *a Bolt or Nut
    4. Type B:
      1. Remove the 3 bolts and 2 nuts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.
    5. Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.

      *1 EGR Valve Gasket
      *2 EGR Cooler Gasket
    6. Remove the EGR cooler gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
