DTC P0335-1F: Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Intermittent [03/2023 - 09/2024]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P0335-1F AND P0335-11, P0335-15 OR P0335-31)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
- Read the DTCs.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(to Crankshaft Position Sensor)HINT:
Make sure that the connector is properly connected. If it is not, securely connect it and check for DTCs again.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- While jiggling the ECM connector, measure the voltage according to the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Z4-3 (VCNE) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 4.5 to 5.5 V Z4-1 (NE+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 3.0 to 5.0 V HINT:
By jiggling the connector while performing the inspection, it is possible to confirm that the terminals are contacting with sufficient pressure.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- While jiggling the ECM connector, measure the resistance according to the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Z4-2 (NE-) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 Ω HINT:
By jiggling the connector while performing the inspection, it is possible to confirm that the terminals are contacting with sufficient pressure.

- CHECK SENSOR INSTALLATION AND CONDUCT VISUAL INSPECTION (CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR)
*a Clearance - Visually check the crankshaft position sensor for damage.
- Check the crankshaft position sensor installation condition.

The crankshaft position sensor does not have any damage and is installed properly.

SECURELY REINSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
