DTC P0705-62: Transmission Range Sensor "A" Signal Compare Failure [03/2023 - ]: Description

The shift lever position sensor and transmission control switch (shift lock control unit assembly) detect the shift lever position and send signals to the ECM.

Any of the following conditions are met for 2 seconds or more (1-trip detection logic).

w/ Sequential Shift:

A malfunction in the P, R, N or D circuit is detected based on the shift sensor input pattern.
The input pattern of the shift lever position sensor circuit is P, R or N with the shift lever in M.

w/o Sequential Shift:

A malfunction in the P, R, N, D or B circuit is detected based on the shift sensor input pattern.
