Odo/Trip Switch Malfunction [09/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      ODO/TRIP Change Switch Performs the same operation as pressing the ODO/TRIP switch OFF/ON -

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS 
    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRIP SWITCH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I169-5 (A/B) - I5-13 (ODO) Always Below 1 Ω
      I169-2 (E) - I5-26 (SW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      I169-5 (A/B) or I5-13 (ODO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
