Headup Display Malfunction [09/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

  2. CHECK SYMPTOMS 
    1. Check the problem symptoms.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

  4. INSPECT METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the meter mirror sub-assembly is correctly installed to the vehicle.

    INSTALL METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. ADJUST METER MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY (DISPLAY POSITION SETTING) 
    1. Adjusts headup display position using the customize setting.

      Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [09/2024 - ]

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

  6. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS 
    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  7. INSPECT NO. 1 COMBINATION METER MIRROR PLATE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate from the meter mirror sub-assembly.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2024 - ]

    2. Check that the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate is operating normally.

      HINT: 

      If there is a malfunction such as severe deformation, damage or haze, replace the No. 1 combination meter mirror plate as it may adversely affect the display.

    1. Adjusts headup display image using the customize setting.
