Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter [04/2018 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G3 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G5 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G3-14 (ADPG) - G5-5 (ADPG) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-10 (AGND) - G5-6 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-12 (VAR+) - G5-2 (VAR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-11 (VAL+) - G5-3 (VAL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-13 (VA-) - G5-4 (VA-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G3-14 (ADPG) or G5-5 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G3-10 (AGND) or G5-6 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G3-12 (VAR+) or G5-2 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G3-11 (VAL+) or G5-3 (VAL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G3-13 (VA-) or G5-4 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [04/2018 - 08/2020]
