Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  4. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose.
      • Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

      HINT: 

      When disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose, slide the clip, rotate the hose and pull it straight off the pipe.

    3. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.
