Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2018 - ]

  7. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2018 - ]

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  12. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  13. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Disconnect the 2 horn connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and 2 upper radiator mounting brackets.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. Remove the clip and disengage the claw.

      *1 No. 1 Radiator Air Guide LH
      *2 Front Radiator Side Air Guide Plate LH
    2. Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide LH with the front radiator side air guide plate LH.
  15. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
    1. Remove the clip and disengage the claw.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 radiator air guide RH.
  16. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
  20. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when separating the cooler condenser assembly.

    3. Disengage the claw and raise the lock lever to disconnect the cooling fan motor connector as shown in the illustration.

      *a Lock Lever
      NOTE:

      After disconnecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector.

    4. Disengage the wire harness clamp.
    5. Remove the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly from the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

    6. Disengage the 2 claws.

    7. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the fan with motor assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan with motor assembly.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
  23. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.
