Removal [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

- REMOVE BATTERY

- REMOVE ECM
Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]
- REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE FLOW SHUTTING VALVE (NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE)
- Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the transmission breather clamp.
- Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the hose clamp.
- Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and transmission breather hose from the hose clamp.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) from the water outlet.
HINT:
Use a container to catch any engine coolant which flows out of the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and water outlet.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) from the transmission oil cooler.

Use a container to catch any engine coolant which flows out of the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and transmission oil cooler.
- Disconnect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) connector.
- Remove the bolt and flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose).
- Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the transmission breather clamp.
