Removal [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 08/2016] )

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH 
    1. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and No. 2 engine mounting stay RH.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine mounting stay RH.

  5. REMOVE FUEL HOSE PROTECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the 3 fuel injector connectors and 2 harness clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and fuel hose protector.

  6. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the EFI fuel pipe clamp.

      *1 EFI Fuel Pipe Clamp
      *2 Retainer
      *3 Nylon Tube
      *4 Fuel Pipe
      *5 O-Ring
      *6 Fuel Tube Connector
      Pinch
      Pull Out
    2. Pinch the retainer to release it as shown in the illustration and disconnect the fuel tube (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
      NOTE:
      • Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.
      • The fuel tube connector seals with an O-ring. Ensure that there is no damage or foreign matter on the contact surface.
      • If the connector and the pipe are stuck, push and pull on the connector to release them while pinching the retainer. Pull the connector out of the pipe carefully.
      • Do not use any tools.
      • Do not bend or twist the tubes.
      • Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.
  7. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the 3 fuel injector connectors.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts and fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly together with the 6 fuel injectors.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to drop the fuel injectors when removing the fuel delivery pipe.

    3. Pull out the fuel injectors from the fuel delivery pipe.

      NOTE:

      If the injectors are to be reused, reinstall them to the same cylinder they came from.

    4. Remove the 6 O-rings from the injectors.

  8. REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 6 injector vibration insulators from the intake manifold.
