DTC P0116: Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Range / Performance [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

- CHECK ANY OTHER DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0116)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC P0116 is output A DTC P0116 and other DTCs are output B HINT:
If any DTCs other than P0116 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

- INSPECT THERMOSTAT
- Check the valve opening temperature of the thermostat (Refer to INSPECTION [12/2015 - 08/2016]
).
HINT:
Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the engine coolant temperature sensor (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] ).
