Installation [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Install the wire harness clamp stay with the bolt.

   Torque: 8.4 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

2. Connect the wire harness clamp.
3. Type A:
   1. Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

   2. Temporarily install the generator assembly bracket with the 2 bolts.
   3. Fully tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

4. Type B:
   1. Install the generator assembly bracket to the generator assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

   2. Install the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

   3. Install the nut.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

5. Install the generator wire with the nut.

   Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

6. Install the terminal cap.
7. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.
8. Connect the compressor and magnetic clutch connector.

1. Install a new engine oil level dipstick guide O-ring to the engine oil level dipstick guide.
2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the engine oil level dipstick guide O-ring.
3. Insert the engine oil level dipstick guide end into the oil pan sub-assembly.
4. Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, install the engine oil level dipstick guide to the camshaft housing sub-assembly LH with the bolt.

   Specified tightening torque 

   Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

   HINT: 

   • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

     Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2016 - ]

   • When using 12 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 20 mm (0.79 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162mm (6.38 in.)):

     18.7 N*m (191 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)
