Removal [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FILLER PLUG 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL DRAIN PLUG 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE REAR WHEELS 
  4. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )

  5. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL PROTECTOR 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential protector.

  6. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - ]

  7. SEPARATE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  5

  8. SEPARATE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedures as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL 
    1. Disconnect the connector and separate the wire harness clamp.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the electro magnetic control coupling wire harness.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
    3. Set the rear differential onto the transmission jack.
      NOTE:

      Install a height adjustment attachment and plate lift attachment onto the rear differential.

      HINT: 

      Place the differential on wooden blocks or equivalents so that the differential is level.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and remove the rear differential.

  10. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL DYNAMIC DAMPER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear differential dynamic damper.

  11. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL NO. 1 SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential No. 1 support.

  12. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL UPPER MOUNT STOPPER 
    1. Remove the 2 rear differential upper mount stoppers from the rear differential support.

  13. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and rear differential support.
