Installation [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Clean the vacuum pump assembly installation bolt holes in the camshaft housing sub-assembly and cylinder head sub-assembly.
    2. Apply engine oil to 2 new O-rings and install them to the vacuum pump assembly.

    3. Install the vacuum pump assembly so that the oil pipe engages with the hole of the camshaft and the coupling teeth with the grooves on the camshaft tip.

      NOTE:
      • Ensure that the vacuum pump assembly is installed securely.
      • Be careful not to pinch the O-ring.
    4. Install the vacuum pump assembly with 3 new bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      After installation, check that there are no gaps between the matching surfaces and that the vacuum pump assembly is not installed at an angle.

  2. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Install the engine room main wire with the bolt.

      Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 115 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.
    3. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.35 N*m (85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the 6 connectors.
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 64

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 65

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66

  6. INSTALL BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68

  7. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

  8. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2016 - ]

  9. INSPECT VACUUM PUMP OPERATION 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [08/2016 - ] 

  10. INSTALL FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  11. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  12. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  13. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  14. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  15. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  17. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
