DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit; DTC B1508: Short in Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Circuit [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Turn signal lights for one side do not illuminate A
      Front turn signal light does not illuminate (w/ LED Daytime Running Light Type) B
      Front turn signal light does not illuminate (w/o LED Daytime Running Light Type) C
      Rear turn signal light does not illuminate D
      Side turn signal light does not illuminate (w/ Seat Position Memory) E

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D146 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D146-7 (LL) - 2D-24 Always Below 1 Ω
      D146-7 (LL) or 2D-24 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      FOR RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D146-13 (LR) - 2D-20 Always Below 1 Ω
      D146-13 (LR) or 2D-20 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. for LH
      1. Disconnect the A8 and A61 headlight assembly LH connectors.
    2. for RH
      1. Disconnect the A22 and A60 headlight assembly RH connectors.
    3. Disconnect the 2F instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-1 - 2F-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      A61-3 - 2F-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-3 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A61-4 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-1 or 2F-9 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A61-3 or 2F-9 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      FOR RH

      A22-1 - 2F-8 Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A8*1 or A22*2 headlight assembly connector.
      1. *1: for LH
      2. *2: for RH
    2. Disconnect the 2F instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A8-3 - 2F-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-3 or 2F-9 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      FOR RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A22-3 - 2F-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      A22-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A22-3 or 2F-8 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. for LH
      1. Disconnect the K19*1 or K33*2 rear combination light assembly connector.
        1. *1: for LED Type Stop Light
        2. *2: for Bulb Type Stop Light
    2. for RH
      1. Disconnect the L32*1 or L51*2 rear combination light assembly connector.
        1. *1: for LED Type Stop Light
        2. *2: for Bulb Type Stop Light
    3. Disconnect the 2H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K19-2 - 2H-22*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      K33-2 - 2H-22*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      K19-1 - Body ground*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      K33-1 - Body ground*2 Always Below 1 Ω
      K19-2 or 2H-22 - Body ground*1 Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K33-2 or 2H-22 - Body ground*2 Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the H17*1 or G16*2 outer rear view mirror assembly connector.
      1. *1: for LH
      2. *2: for RH
    2. Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR LH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H17-7 (TRNL) - 2D-23 Always Below 1 Ω
      H17-2 (-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H17-7 (TRNL) or 2D-23 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      FOR RH

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G16-7 (TRNR) - 2D-21 Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-2 (-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  7. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      2D-24 - 2H-22 Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-24 - 2D-23*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-20 - 2F-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-20 - 2H-24 Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-20 - 2D-21*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      1. *1: w/ Seat Position Memory

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
