DTC B1500: Fuel Sender Open Detected [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
5. According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

1. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D145-14 (FR) - D145-15 (FE)	Always	13.5 to 414.5 Ω

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

1. Disconnect the D145 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the g4 fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D145-14 (FR) - g4-2	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D145-14 (FR) or g4-2 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   D145-15 (FE) - g4-3	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D145-15 (FE) or g4-3 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] ).
2. Inspect the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to INSPECTION [08/2016 - ] ).

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] )

OK

1. Remove the fuel suction pump and gauge tube assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] ).

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
