Television Camera ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the rear television camera assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Rear Television Camera Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W30-4 (CANH) - W30-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the rear television camera assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Rear Television Camera Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W30-5 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] )

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      W30-6 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 5.5 to 7.05 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D196 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W30-6 (CB+) - D196-30 (CA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      W30-5 (CGND) - D196-27 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      W30-6 (CB+) or D196-30 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W30-5 (CGND) or D196-27 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    OK 

    GO TO PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
