Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [12/2015 - 11/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION
    NOTE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2016 - ] ).

    See step  2

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal before measuring the resistances of the main wire and the branch wire.
      WARNING:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      NOTE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] )

    Result:

    NEXT

    See step  3

  3. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) BRANCH WIRE)
    1. Disconnect brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) (CAN-H, CAN-L)

    Result:

    OK

    See step  4

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) - POWER SOURCE)
    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] )

    2. Disconnect the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
