Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Brake Actuator Assembly (Skid Control ECU))
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A75-22 (CANH) - A75-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) (CAN-H, CAN-L) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) connector.

      (to Brake Actuator Assembly (Skid Control ECU))
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A75-25 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      A75-1 (GND2) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] )

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A75-38 (+BS) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A75-13 (BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A75-12 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
