Parking Assist ECU Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (PARKING ASSIST ECU CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the parking assist ECU connector.

      (to Parking Assist ECU)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D163-11 (CANH) - D163-12 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO PARKING ASSIST ECU 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the parking assist ECU connector.

      (to Parking Assist ECU)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D163-4 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When connecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] ).

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D163-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      D163-3 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      D163-2 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
