Clearance Warning ECU Communication Stop Mode [08/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D200-17 (R1) - D200-18 (R2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY (R1, R2) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D200-30 (E) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When connecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] ).

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D200-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
