Removal [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] ).

  2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Slide Type) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )

  3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/ Console Box) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 [11/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/o Console Box) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36 [11/2017 - ]

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 [11/2017 - ]

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [11/2017 - ]

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [11/2017 - ]

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT 
    1. Disengage the 6 claws to remove the rear No. 1 air duct.

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 AIR DUCT 
    1. Disengage 6 claws to remove the rear No. 3 air duct.

  11. REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Check that the negative battery terminal is disconnected before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.

    1. Pull the lever down and disconnect the connector holder.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and the airbag sensor assembly.

  12. REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and the airbag sensor bracket.
