Inspection [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

- INSPECT FUEL PUMP WITH FILTER ASSEMBLY
- Check the resistance.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 0.2 to 3.0 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump with filter assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check fuel pump with filter assembly operation.
- Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 of the connector and negative (-) lead to terminal 2. Check that the fuel pump with filter assembly operates.
OK
Fuel pump with filter assembly operating sound can be heard.
NOTE:- This test must be done quickly (within 10 seconds) to prevent the coil from burning out.
- Keep the fuel pump with filter assembly as far away from the battery as possible.
- Always switch the voltage on and off at the battery, not the fuel pump with filter assembly.
If the fuel pump with filter assembly does not operate, replace the fuel pump with filter assembly.
- Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 1 of the connector and negative (-) lead to terminal 2. Check that the fuel pump with filter assembly operates.
- Check the resistance.
