Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  9. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  10. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  14. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE:

    If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RESERVOIR TUBE 

    See step  7

  16. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  8

  17. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose assembly.

  18. SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Raise the lever while pushing the lock on the lever, and disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Disconnect the vacuum warning switch assembly connector.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and clamp and separate the engine room main wire.

  19. SEPARATE NO. 1 FRONT BRAKE TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp and separate the No. 1 front brake tube assembly.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the brake lines or clamps. If any parts are damaged, replace them with new ones.

  20. REMOVE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ]

  21. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS 
    1. Loosen the lock nut.

    2. Remove the clip and the push rod pin and separate the push rod clevis from the brake pedal support assembly.
    3. Remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut from the brake booster assembly.
  22. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the brake lines.

  23. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET 
    1. Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster assembly.

  24. REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the vacuum check valve assembly from the brake booster assembly.
  25. REMOVE VACUUM WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the vacuum warning switch assembly from the brake booster assembly.

  26. REMOVE VACUUM WARNING SWITCH GROMMET 
    1. Remove the 2 vacuum warning switch grommets from the brake booster assembly.
