Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D196-13 (CANH) - D196-14 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D195-1 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - ] )

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D195-4 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      D195-15 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      D196-19 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
