ECM Communication Stop Mode [11/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (ECM MAIN WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to ECM)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A69-13 (CANH) - A69-26 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN WIRE CONNECTED TO ECM 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Check the ECM power source circuit (Refer to ECM Power Source Circuit [11/2017 - ] ).

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
