DTC C1761: Continuous Electric Current to Height Control Compressor Motor [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FOR AIR LEAK 
    1. Check for air leakage (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 ).

      OK

      No leaks.

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR TUBE 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (EXHAUST SOLENOID) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and turn the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Active Test.
      AIR SUSPENSION

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Exhaust Solenoid Exhaust solenoid valve ON or OFF Operation sound of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

      OK

      Operation of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR GATE SOLENOID) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and turn the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Active Test.
      AIR SUSPENSION

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Gate Solenoid Gate solenoid valve/ ON or OFF Operation sound of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

      OK

      Operation of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (REAR LEVELING SOLENOID) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and turn the Techstream main switch on.
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Active Test.
      AIR SUSPENSION

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Leveling Solenoid Leveling solenoid valve ON or OFF Operation sound of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

      OK

      Operation of solenoid (clicking sound) can be heard

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY (AIR SUS) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Remove the AIR SUS relay from the engine room relay block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 When 12 V battery voltage is not applied to terminal 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      When 12 V battery voltage is applied to terminal 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMPRESSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Remove the AIR SUS relay from the engine room relay block.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Relay block AIR SUS relay terminal 5 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
    3. Disconnect the Q7 compressor connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Relay block AIR SUS relay terminal 3 - Q7-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      Relay block AIR SUS relay terminal 3 or Q7-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Q7-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  7. CHECK VEHICLE HEIGHT 
    1. Check the vehicle height (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2015 - ] ).

    Result: 

    NG 

    ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT 

    (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    OK

  8. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
    2. Check for DTC (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is output A
      DTC is not output B

    Result: 

    REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
