On-Vehicle Inspection [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

- INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Apply the parking brake and turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Depress the brake pedal and check that the engine starts when the shift lever is in N or P, but does not start in the other positions.
- Check that the back-up light illuminates and the reverse warning buzzer sounds when the shift lever is in R, but does not function in the other positions.
If a malfunction failure is found, check the park/ neutral position switch for continuity.
