Installation [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Coat 4 new O-rings with ATF.

    2. Install the 4 O-rings, transmission oil cooler spacer and transmission oil cooler to the automatic transmission.
    3. Temporarily install the bolt A.
    4. Install the 2 bolts B and tighten them to the specified torque. Then tighten bolt A to the specified torque.

      Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf/cm, 16 ft.lbf) 

  2. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses with the 2 clips and install the water by-pass pipe with the bolt.

      Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf/cm, 13 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      Make sure the pinching portion of each clip is facing the direction shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to:

    PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2015 - 08/2019]

    PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2019 - ]

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to: PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. ADJUST AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID 
    1. Adjust automatic transmission fluid. Refer to:

      ADJUSTMENT [08/2015 - 08/2017] 

      ADJUSTMENT [08/2017 - 08/2019] 

      ADJUSTMENT [08/2019 - ] 

  6. INSPECT FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK 
  7. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to: PROCEDURE - Step 1

  8. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
