DTC P2111: Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Open; DTC P2112: Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed [08/2015 - 08/2018]: Procedure

- CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P2111 OR P2112)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC P2111 or P2112 is output A DTC P2111 or P2112 and other DTCs are output B HINT:
If any DTCs other than P2111 or P2112 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.

- INSPECT THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY (VISUALLY CHECK THROTTLE VALVE)
- Check for contamination between the throttle valve and housing. If necessary, clean the throttle body. Also, check that the throttle valve moves smoothly.

Perform "Inspection After Repair" after cleaning the throttle body. Refer to:

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (THROTTLE POSITION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).
- Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data / Throttle Position No. 1, Throttle Position No. 2 and Throttle Position Command.
- Check the values displayed on the Techstream while wiggling the ECM wire harness.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Check for DTCs.RESULT

- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ECM - THROTTLE BODY)
- As the DTC was stored due to a change in the contact resistance of the connector, repair or replace the wire harness or connector (Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).

- Replace the throttle body assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2018]

- CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P2111 OR P2112)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Clear DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).
- Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Drive the vehicle in accordance with the driving pattern described in Confirmation Driving Pattern.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.
- Read DTCs.RESULT
