Fuel Injector Circuit [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FUEL INJECTOR (POWER SOURCE)

    1. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Cylinder Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      No. 1 d1-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 2 c1-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 3 d2-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 4 c2-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 5 d3-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 6 c3-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 7 d4-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 8 c4-2 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    NG

  2. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR 
    1. Inspect the fuel injector (Refer to INSPECTION [08/2015 - 08/2018] ).

      HINT: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2018] )

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.
    2. Disconnect the D56 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Cylinder Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      No. 1 d1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      d1-1 - D56-86 (#10) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 2 c1-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c1-1 - D56-109 (#20) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 3 d2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      d2-1 - D56-85 (#30) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 4 c2-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c2-1 - D56-108 (#40) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 5 d3-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      d3-1 - D56-84 (#50) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 6 c3-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c3-1 - D56-107 (#60) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 7 d4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      d4-1 - D56-83 (#70) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 8 c4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      c4-1 - D56-106 (#80) Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE ECM 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2018] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. INSPECT FUSE (INJ, IG2 MAIN)

    1. Remove the INJ fuse and IG2 MAIN fuse from the engine room relay block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      INJ fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      IG2 MAIN fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2) 
    1. Inspect the integration relay (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 ).

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - INJECTOR ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY
