Installation [08/2015 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL CANISTER PUMP MODULE 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new canister pump module to the charcoal canister assembly.

      NOTE:
      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-rings.
      • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.
  2. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER SUPPORT BRACKET 
    1. Attach the claw to install the charcoal canister support bracket.
  3. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER BASE BRACKET 
    1. Attach the claw to install the charcoal canister base bracket.
  4. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Install the charcoal canister outlet hose to the charcoal canister assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.
  5. INSTALL NO. 1 CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose to the charcoal canister filter sub-assembly.
  6. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER FILTER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the hose clamp to the charcoal canister assembly.
    2. Connect the charcoal canister outlet hose to hose clamp.
    3. Attach the claw to install the charcoal canister filter sub-assembly to the charcoal canister assembly.
    4. Connect the No. 2 canister outlet hose sub-assembly to the charcoal canister assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.
      • After connecting, check that the No. 2 canister outlet hose sub-assembly and the valve are securely connected by pulling on them.
  7. INSTALL FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to the charcoal canister assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.
      • After connecting, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and the valve are securely connected by pulling on them.
  8. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the charcoal canister assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the canister pump module connector to the canister pump module.
    3. Connect the charcoal canister outlet hose to the No. 3 fuel tank to canister tube, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.
  9. CONNECT NO. 1 CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose to the fuel tank filler pipe sub-assembly.
  10. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:
      • Before installing the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, make sure that it is not damaged. Make sure that there is no foreign matter present on the connecting surfaces.
      • After connecting, check if the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and the connector are securely connected by pulling on them.
    2. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf)
