Hazard Warning Switch Circuit [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure
- INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Remove the hazard warning signal switch assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (E) - 4 (B1) Hazard warning switch ON Below 1 Ω Hazard warning switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher - Reinstall the hazard warning switch assembly.
Result:
NG
REPLACE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2017] )
Result:
OK

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER)
- Disconnect the J3 hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.
- Disconnect the H39 turn signal flasher assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition J3-4 (B1) - H39-12 (HAZ) Always Below 1 Ω J3-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω J3-4 (B1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - reconnect the turn signal flasher assembly connector.
- Reconnect the hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.
Result:
OK
PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
