Rear Television Camera Communication Stop Mode [02/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the television camera assembly connector.

      (to Television Camera Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-4 (CANH) - R15-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-5 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Television Camera Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2020 - 12/2021]

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R15-6 (CB+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 5.5 to 7.05 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Result Proceed to

      NG (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) B
      NG (w/ Parking Assist Monitor System) C

    Result: 

    REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - PARKING ASSIST ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the N24 parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-6 (CB+) - N24-33 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R15-5 (CGND) - N24-32 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      R15-6 (CB+) or N24-33 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R15-5 (CGND) or N24-32 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    GO TO PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - 10/2022]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-6 (CB+) - G2-30 (CA+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R15-5 (CGND) - G2-27 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      R15-6 (CB+) or G2-30 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R15-5 (CGND) or G2-27 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    GO TO PARKING ASSIST MONITOR SYSTEM
