DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to REPLACEMENT [02/2019 - 12/2021] , or refer to REPLACEMENT [12/2021 - ]
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2023 - ]

REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 bolts and inlet air cleaner assembly.

REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 PCV hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
Detach the 2 grommets and pin to remove the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.
Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to remove the throttle body with motor assembly.
NOTE:
If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
