Installation [02/2019 - 12/2021]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FILLER NECK 
    1. Align the filler neck with the radiator assembly and securely insert the filler neck to the radiator assembly.

      Install in this Direction
      Press in this Direction
      NOTE:
      • Confirm that the retainer makes a "click" sound when pushed.
      • If the filler neck O-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
    2. Push in the retainer.
    3. Check that the radiator assembly and filler neck are securely connected by pulling on them.
  2. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 guides.
    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly with the radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) or pipe and hose when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

    4. Attach the 2 guides.
    5. Attach the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly with the radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly with the radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant) when installing the cooler condenser assembly with the radiator assembly (for Inverter Coolant).

    6. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      *a Lock Lever
    7. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and push down the lock lever to attach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
      • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
  5. CONNECT INVERTER COOLING HOSE 
    1. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 4 inverter cooling hose to the fan with motor assembly.
    2. Attach the 3 clamps to connect the No. 5 inverter cooling hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  6. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

      NOTE:
      • Align the direction of the claw on the clip with the paint mark on the hose.
      • Make sure the No. 2 radiator hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
    2. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  7. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (w/o Grille Shutter) 
    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

      NOTE:
      • Align the direction of the claw on the clip with the paint mark on the hose.
      • Make sure the No. 1 radiator hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
    2. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  8. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter) 
    1. Connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

      NOTE:
      • Align the direction of the claw on the clip with the paint mark on the hose.
      • Make sure the radiator hose sub-assembly is securely inserted to the stopper.
    2. Attach the clamp to connect the radiator hose sub-assembly to the fan with motor assembly.
    3. Connect the No. 2 engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
  9. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly.
  10. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

      NOTE:
      • Align the direction of the claw on the clip with the paint mark on the hose.
      • Make sure the No. 5 water by-pass hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
  11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    2. Attach the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
    3. Attach the 2 clamps to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
    4. Connect the 2 horn connectors.
  12. INSTALL VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2019 - ]

  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2020 - 10/2023]

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
    1. Attach the guide and claw and install the No. 1 radiator air guide RH.
    2. Install the clip.
  15. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
    1. w/o Grille Shutter:

      Attach the guide and claw and install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.

    2. w/ Grille Shutter:

      Attach the claw and install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH.

    3. Install the clip.
  16. INSTALL RADIATOR SHUTTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Grille Shutter) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2019 - 12/2021]

  17. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Grille Shutter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  18. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR AIR GUIDE PLATE 
    1. Install the radiator upper air guide plate with the 5 clips.
  19. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2020 - ]

  20. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  21. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER NO. 2 ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  22. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  23. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  24. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  25. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 65 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 65 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  26. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 66 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  27. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67 [08/2020 - 12/2021]

  28. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68 [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68 [08/2020 - 12/2021]
