Removal [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- When the starter assembly is replaced, "ST NO. 1 relay" must also be replaced.
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
- REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire from the vehicle body.
- Detach the clamp to disconnect the radiator hose from the fan shroud assembly.
- Detach the 2 clamps to disconnect the engine wire and No. 2 engine wire from the automatic transaxle assembly.
- Detach the 3 clamps to disconnect the radiator hose, vacuum hoses and No. 2 engine wire from the No. 1 radiator bracket.
- Remove the bolt and No. 1 radiator bracket from the front engine mounting.
- Disconnect the starter assembly connector.
- Open the terminal cap.
- Remove the nut and disconnect the No. 2 engine wire from terminal 30.
- Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire from the vehicle body.
