Installation [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FLOW SHUTTING VALVE (NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE) 
    1. Install the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) with the bolt.

      Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf) 

    2. Connect the flow shutting valve connector.
    3. Connect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) to the transmission oil cooler and slide the clip to secure it.

      *e 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.) - -
      NOTE:
      • Make sure to slide the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) until it contacts the hose stopper of the transmission oil cooler.
      • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
    4. Connect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) to the water outlet and slide the clip to secure it.

      *e 2 to 7 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.)
      NOTE:
      • Make sure to slide the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose until it contacts the hose) stopper of the water outlet.
      • Make sure that the tabs of the clip are within the area shown in the illustration.
    5. Attach the 2 clamps to connect the flow shutting valve (No. 1 water by-pass hose) and transmission breather hose to the hose clamp.
    6. Attach the 3 clamps to install the hose clamp.
    7. Attach the 3 clamps to install the transmission breather clamp.
  2. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71 [12/2021 - ]

  3. INSTALL BATTERY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2018 - 10/2023] , or refer to INSTALLATION [10/2023 - ]

  4. INSTALL ECM 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2020 - ]

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97 [12/2021 - ]

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 99 [12/2021 - ]

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100 [12/2021 - ]

  10. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 101 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 101 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 101 [12/2021 - ]

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 102 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 102 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 102 [12/2021 - ]

  12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
