Removal [12/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION (w/o Vacuum Brake Booster) NOTE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- Make sure to read the precautions of the electric parking brake system before removing the rear brake assembly.
- DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL (w/o Vacuum Brake Booster)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
- DISCONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE PIN
- Remove the 2 front disc brake cylinder slide pins from the front disc brake cylinder mounting.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the front disc brake cylinder slide bushing from the front disc brake cylinder slide pin (lower side).NOTE:
Do not damage the front disc brake cylinder slide pin.
*a Protective Tape
- Remove the 2 front disc brake cylinder slide pins from the front disc brake cylinder mounting.
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BUSHING DUST BOOT
- REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING
- REMOVE FRONT DISC
