Removal [02/2019 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. for A25A-FXS:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

    2. for A25A-FKS:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR BELT SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT BELT SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  16. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH 
    1. Detach the snap as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Snap
      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
      Remove in this Direction (3)
    2. Remove the front door lock open rod LH in the direction indicated by the arrow show in the illustration.
  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws and front door lock with motor assembly LH.

  24. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    1. When reusing front door lock with motor assembly LH:

      1. Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock with motor assembly LH.
  25. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and open the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

  26. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

  27. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp and remove the front door inside locking cable assembly as shown in the illustration.
