Removal [11/2018 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH (for Long Type) 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front fender front splash shield RH.
  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD RH (for Short Type) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front fender front splash shield RH.
  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD RH (w/ Mudguard) 
    1. for Short Type:

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    2. for Long Type:

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2019 - 08/2020]

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (except Off Road Package) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Off Road Package) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH 
    1. w/ Mudguard:
      1. Remove the 8 clips and 2 screws.

        *A w/o Mudguard - -
        Clip Screw
    2. w/o Mudguard:
      1. Remove the 9 clips and 2 screws.
    3. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 4 grommets.

    4. Remove the front fender liner RH.
  9. DRAIN WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID 
    1. Disconnect the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and drain the washer fluid.

      HINT: 

      Use a container to collect the washer fluid.

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump assembly.

      Remove in this Direction
      Washer hose
      Connector
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly as shown in the illustration.
  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER 
    1. except Off Road Package:

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 08/2020]

    2. for Off Road Package:

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 08/2020]

  12. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the clip.

      Place Hand Here
      Remove in this Direction
    2. Place your hands at the position shown in the illustration and remove the washer inlet sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow.
  13. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the washer hose.

    2. Detach the clamp.

      *A w/ Level Warning Switch
    3. w/ Level Warning Switch:
      1. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts. Then detach the guide and remove the windshield washer jar assembly.

  14. REMOVE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Level Warning Switch)
