DTC P0A1D-94: Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Unexpected Operation [06/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Check the connections of the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [11/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

      Result

      OK
      NG

    CONNECT SECURELY

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (BATTERY ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Remove the No. 1 HV battery hose.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2023 - ]

    3. Check the connections of the z26 battery ECU assembly connector.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [11/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

    4. Install the upper hybrid battery cover sub-assembly.

      Result

      Result
      OK
      NG

    CONNECT SECURELY

  3. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY PACK WIRE)) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the ignition switch to ON (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Remove the No. 4 HV battery protector.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2023 - ]

    3. Check the connections of the Nz1 HV battery connector.

      Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [11/2018 - ]

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

    4. Install the No. 4 HV battery protector.

      Result

      OK
      NG

  4. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]
