Removal [08/2020 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

      Bolt
      Connector
      1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 3 bolts.
    3. Detach the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not bend the hood lock control cable assembly excessively.

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the claw in the direction (1) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this direction (1)
      Remove in this direction (2)
    2. Detach the guide in the direction (2) indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
    3. Detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH (for Long Type) 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front fender front splash shield LH.
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH (for Short Type) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front fender front splash shield LH.
  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD LH (w/ Mudguard) 
    1. for Short Type:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    2. for Long Type:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    for A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    for A25A-FXS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (except Off Road Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Off Road Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH 
    1. w/ Mudguard:
      1. Remove the 8 clips and 2 screws.

        *A w/o Mudguard - -
        Clip Screw
    2. w/o Mudguard:
      1. Remove the 9 clips and 2 screws.
    3. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 4 grommets.

    4. Remove the front fender liner LH.
  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.

      *a String

      HINT: 

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Remove the grommet as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clamp and remove the hood lock control cable assembly.

      *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly - -
    4. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

      HINT: 

      Do not pull off the string, because it is used during installation. Leave it on the vehicle.

    5. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
