Removal [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CAUTIONS FOR HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM COMPONENTS 

    See step  1

  2. CAUTIONS FOR INTAKE SYSTEM COMPONENTS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  5. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. REMOVE FC INVERTER INPUT JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING OUTLET HOSE 
    1. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling outlet hose from the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.

      NOTE:
      • When disconnecting, do not twist the union pipe.
      • When disconnecting, be careful not to damage the port or the inside of the hose.
      • Perform the procedures by hand. Do not use any tools.
    2. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, cover the connecting portions of the No. 1 inverter cooling outlet hose and FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly with plastic bags.

  8. DISCONNECT NO. 2 EV WATER PUMP HOSE 
    1. Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 EV water pump hose from the EV water pump outlet pipe.

      NOTE:
      • When disconnecting, be careful not to damage the port or the inside of the hose.
      • Perform the procedures by hand. Do not use any tools.
    2. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, cover the connecting portions of the No. 2 EV water pump hose and EV water pump outlet pipe with plastic bags.

  9. SEPARATE WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts to separate the water pipe sub-assembly from the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and inverter protector.

  10. SEPARATE NO. 3 MOTOR WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Disengage the clamp to separate the No. 3 motor wire from the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.

  11. REMOVE FC WATER AND HYDROGEN PUMP INVERTER ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Disconnect the 2 FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly connecters.

    2. Disengage the clamp to separate the FC cooling water pump cable from the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.

      *1 Green-colored Lock
    3. Pull out the green lock of the connector and disconnect the FC cooling water pump cable connector as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the connector terminals.
      • Insulate the opening of the connector by wrapping it with insulating tape.
    4. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts to separate the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly from the center frame crossmember sub-assembly.

    5. Pull out the green lock of the connector and disconnect the hydrogen pump inverter cable connector as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Green-colored Lock
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the connector terminals.
      • Insulate the opening of the connector by wrapping it with insulating tape.
  12. REMOVE NO. 2 EV WATER PUMP HOSE 
    1. Slide the hose clip and remove the No. 2 EV water pump hose from the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.

      NOTE:
