Removal [06/2015 - 11/2018]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER PLATE 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws.

    2. Disengage the hook to remove the No. 1 rear bumper plate.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 
    1. Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the rear bumper side seal LH.
  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape around the rear bumper assembly.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the screw.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    4. Remove the 4 screws and 2 clips.

    5. Pull the edge of the rear bumper assembly in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to disengage the claws.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

      Remove in this Direction
    6. Pull the rear bumper assembly in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to disengage the claws.

      NOTE:

      Because the vehicle wire harness is connected to the rear bumper assembly, hold the rear bumper assembly in a position where the connectors can be disconnected.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    7. Disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

    8. Disconnect the connector.

    9. Pull the rear bumper assembly in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration, and remove the rear bumper assembly.
