Inspection [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the operation.
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the terminal 1 and the body ground, and check that the horn sounds.

        *a Component without harness connected
        (High Pitched Horn Assembly)
        *b Auxiliary battery
        *c Body Ground

        OK

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) - Terminal 1 Horn sounds
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) - Body ground

        If the result is not as specified, replace the high pitched horn assembly.

  2. INSPECT LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the operation.
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the terminal 1 and the body ground, and check that the horn sounds.

        OK

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) - Terminal 1 Horn sounds
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) - Body ground

        *a Component without harness connected
        (Low Pitched Horn Assembly)
        *b Auxiliary battery
        *c Body Ground

        If the result is not as specified, replace the low pitched horn assembly.
