DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit; DTC B1508: Short in Turn Signal / Hazard Flasher Circuit [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      B1507 and B1508 are not output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

  2. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front LH side turn signal light does not illuminate. A
      Front RH side turn signal light does not illuminate. B
      Rear LH side turn signal light does not illuminate. C
      Rear RH side turn signal light does not illuminate. D

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LH SIDE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the z11 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the L10 clearance light assembly LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G14-12 (LL) - z11-16 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-12 (LL) - A19-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      z11-12 (-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A19-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-12 (LL) or z11-16 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G14-12 (LL) or A19-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (CLEARANCE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    NG

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LH SIDE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L10 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the A19 clearance light assembly LH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G14-12 (LL) - L10-11 (TRNI) Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-12 (LL) - A19-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A19-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-12 (LL) or L10-11 (TRNI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G14-12 (LL) or A19-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ] 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT RH SIDE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the z12 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the A18 clearance light assembly RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G14-6 (LR) - z12-16 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-6 (LR) - A18-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      z12-12 (-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-6 (LR) or z12-16 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G14-6 (LR) or A18-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

  8. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT RH SIDE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L1 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the A18 clearance light assembly RH connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G14-6 (LR) - L1-11 (TRNI) Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-6 (LR) - A18-1 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      L1-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G14-6 (LR) or L1-11 (TRNI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G14-6 (LR) or A18-1 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  10. INSPECT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Inspect the side turn signal light assembly RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ] 

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P15 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P15-4 (TRN) - G14-13 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      P15-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P15-4 (TRN) or G14-13 (TRNL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  12. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH IS DEFECTIVE) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the Q14 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G14 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q14-4 (TRN) - G14-7 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q14-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Q14-4 (TRN) or G14-7 (TRNR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  14. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2015 - ]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    END (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)
